2010 Powies New Season Thoughts

The new season has crept up on us after the months of snow and freezing conditions. Luckily the man upstairs took pity on us for the opening match at Pitsford and we had a mild clement day. A good turn out of 20 anglers managed 94 fish without a singe blank!We are either improving or the fish were more co-operative than previous seasons as since I have been comp.sec this is the day when lots of plastic ducks are usually awarded.

I was very pleased for Graham Haywood who caught his first limit in our competition. He worked hard for his fish and got his just rewards (knew I should have had that fly back after he caught the first fish as I only bagged 6)

Next outing is at Ravensthorpe for the floating line match on 18th April; if you have not sent in your entry form please get them in pronto. If you feel you cannot commit to all the dates for the season and wish to enter later in the year please let me know BEFORE THE PREVIOUS week-end and I will do my best to fit you in.

Fun Day BBQ has had to be pulled back by a week to the 25th July.This is because the following week end is the Grafham floating line competition in which we enter a team.Seamus Halliday is running our team this year and details will be sent out later. Please support this as it is a good day out.

Lets hope for a good Hooky season,good company and kind weather.
